A liminal cocoon of healing and emergence. Painted during my recovery from hysterectomy and endometriosis excision surgery after decades of chronic pain, fibroids, cysts, and medical gaslighting.

This piece is from the butterfly’s perspective inside the cocoon. The wings hug the membrane, transparent and revealing glimpses of beauty and life beyond this phase, a vision of protection and promise that something radiant waits on the other side.

This piece was born from my own journey through health crises, waiting rooms, and finally finding relief in surgery and healing on all levels. It doesn't need to mirror your story to resonate. It's for anyone in a liminal space of transformation, drawn to bold, layered color and intuitive beauty that feels like hope unfolding.

For simplicity, I offer one neutral frame color that complements the bold, layered energy of the artwork. If you’d like something else or matting, most sizes are standard and can be taken to your local framer for custom framing.

  • Natural Oak: a warm, versatile wood that complements the bold, layered energy of the artwork. As real wood, each frame has its own unique grain and slight color variation. No two are exactly alike.
  • Framed Paper prints: Mounted to foam core and secured inside a solid oak frame with optical-grade acrylic glazing. Shatter resistant, lightweight, and low-glare. No mat, so the full edge-to-edge composition is preserved exactly as intended.
  • Framed canvas: Floating frame design. Artwork appears to float within the frame for a modern, elevated look
