This is how yucca blooms looked to me as a kid, magically tall, glowing gold against the sky. I painted it from that same low, small vantage point, looking straight up, the way everything in the desert felt bigger when I was young. Growing up in the California high desert, these plants were just part of the landscape, but seen from underneath, they gave off total Jack and the Beanstalk vibes.
